Once upon a time?

Finding the best wedding photographer may not be an easy job because trust me, it's either the BEST photographer is fully booked on the wedding date OR aku ni cerewet nak mamps. Hahaha! 

When I started planning for the wedding months back, most of my friends advice on not to find a wedding photographer too fast too furious, like chop chop confirm pay deposit kinda thing. Coz why? Later you menyesal seumur hidop. 

After numerous emails and whatsapp messages, I as usual narrowed down to just 3 wedding photographers. At first, I wanted a female photographer because i feel much more comfortable and not feel to awkward or shy. Ok la actually i ni pemalu orangnye, especially with man and feels so funny to pose in front of someone that I don't really know well. Hahaha, even with Sid. I'm learning to pose more infront of sid coz you know nanti hari kahwin posing sama je. And Sid really NEED to learnt how to make more facial expression. If there are such classes, i'm willing to sponsor him to go. He need it la really! Hehe

I am one organised freak who need to write on papers so that I can visualize and chunk it in my brain. I don't know why but I can't just save in on my tab or make an excel spreed sheet and look abit more canggih right? Sad life! So, I wrote down the different packages from the 3 wedding photographers and made a comparison on the pros and cons. Sid on the other hand, is in charge on the budget wise and ensuring me that these 3 are the best photographers in Singapore. Ok let me tell you one sad story of my life when i'm on my verge on finding the best photographers.

Tolong tolong, lap kan ai liur yang meleleh tu, thank you very much. The pictures were beyond my expectation, it was too beautiful that I instantly emailed them for 2014 quotation. But............ sadly to say, they are booked on my wedding date. My mood change like sonic, I was already looking forward about the pre wedding shoot like where should we go and We will have the best wedding pictures in the world but itu semua ada la hayalan semata mata. Hahahaha, so drama as usual.  

To 2015 BTB who are still looking for wedding photographers, jgn malu jgn segan just email them.

On a happy side, We did secure a wedding photographer with the none other than 

I remember reading a BTB blog and saw the pictures by Once upon images. So maha cantek lor, just the way I want it to be :) The man behind all this beautiful creation is none other than Raihan, the founder of OUI. Actually right this Raihan here look abit like Fandy Razak, the winner for The Big Shot 2. He is also one of the best wedding photographer you should consider (Studiodua boutique photography). Doesn't matter if he look like fandy razak or shah rukh khan or my bestfriend's cousin coz most importantly is, He is one funny chill laid back rilek one corner kind person but full of energy when explaining to us about the packages. Sid and I felt like we were talking to a long lost friend. Hahahaha. 

We exchanged a few emails and he told me that slots are limited for end of next year, so I panic at the disco already la kan! Nak CST tk dpt, nak NAF pon tk dpt. Ni kalau tk dpt jugak, kempunan mak. Hahaha, before I knew it, we are already at his office which was located at Ubi. This Raihan eh I tell you is one very nice guy, he bought for us a drink when we met him. So nice for whattttt.

He shared with us on how he start this line and gave ideas on the places for pre wedding shoot  Ni part dia recommand coz I think our pre wedding idea was abit pelik tapi benar kinda thing. Hahaha, but hey his ideas was fantastic okay!  He even asked how we met! Hahaha, tu panjang cerita jgn ckp la kan.

I is so suka with the pictures! Teehehehe. It took just just ONE day, let me repeat ONE day to seat down and discuss on the photographer. We were already saying about " this is the one b, this is the one" the moment we step out of his office. Hahahahaha, too fast too furious I see there. But yes la, Onc Upon Images is THE ONE that we chose. And and and we got a really good deal when we signed up for the package coz they were having a promotion !

Since the promotion was so irresistible, we signed up for both wedding photgraphy & cinematography. On top of that, there will be a 2 hour complimentary pre wedding shoot. Amaciam, barang baik kan? Hehehe.

As for now, we are done with most of the major wedding vendors expect for berkat & wedding cake. Will update on that too soon! hehe

Chantique the bridal gallery!

I know I know i've been a pig when it comes to blogging for the past few weeks. Been busy with work and whatever that is along the way. So anw! here's the story of how Sid & I choose our bridal. Sid always told me that what is the most important thing about planning a wedding is to find the best caterer coz according to Cik Siddiq," If the food at the wedding is delicious people will definitely remember your wedding." Contrary to me, " If the food at the wedding not nice also people remember what? " True right? Be it good or bad, people still talk about it coz mulut org mana boleh tutup. Hehehehe!

Initially Sid and I were pretty chill and laid back about planning the whole wedding coz to us it was still early and this is our first time getting married (like duh?) so we pretty clueless on when to start booking and whats not. So during the fasting month back in August, we met with Sid's good friend Naha for iftar and she start sharing with us on wedding related stuff. She asked if we have book anything and with muka selamba I said," Haven la! Still early kan? ". And guess? she said couples getting married in 2015 already start booking theirs. MY OH MY, after she said that I think I berpeluh berok ye di situ. Time time org sebok nak berbuka time tu la I start to search for popular bridal company in FB and start sending emails regarding 2013 quotation. Kiasu kan? Biasa jugak.

I was spoiled for choice after my look look and see see research. Sid being Sid, he is those sort who go with the flow. If i like it, he will like it. So finding one was not that hard since i narrowed down to just 3 bridal company to meet up for appointment. From the title of the blog you should know which bridal company we took right? Tkde suspension betol 

Chantique was second on the list so I texted Kak Ros to make an appointment at 5pm and standard la kan we were early for half and hour. Since it was located at Joo chiat, we decided to get the best putu piring in singapore. Hehehe, feeling feeling pakcik pakcik main dam sekejap tunang i. Lol! I thought the place was not that far from Teh tarik tapi ................................... eh jauh ke ape? By the time we reach Chantique I was hungry again. What's new right? LOL! 

The door was close when we reach the office so Sid being Sid as sopan and mulia as he can get he asked, " B, nak beri salam tk? ". I myself was unsure la, like funny only. Belom sempat beri salam, Abg Zul (The owner of Chantique Bridal) warmly greeted us at the door. And the moment of glory  we stepped in I was already in awe and deep deep inside my heart there was this ghost whisperer whispering at me saying, " Aliana this is the one this is the one". There was a stretch of mannequin deck in beautiful wedding gowns, traditional outfits etc. It was SO SO SO PRETTY I ALMOST DIED OVER THERE. Ok, drama melayu 9.30pm kat suria da start. Hahaha! 

He showed us some of the wedding albums and I think I got a little tired looking at the albums coz it was the same couple over and over again. Hahaha, but thats not important. More important is the outfits what right? I was already sinking on the sofa but Sid was still flipping the albums over and over again. Abg Zul was one very funny guy and I never felt so kaku talking to him. He asked on how our event will be like and advised us on how many outfit we should get so we will not get bored of seating at the pelamin smilling for 8 hours. Eh tiring u know? Sid tried to be funny and said after the wedding he will not smile for at least 2 days coz he smiled so much during the wedding. Not funny please. 

After almost 1 hour of chit chatting we bid Abg Zul goodbye and wish to meet him again to seal the deal coz we have yet to seat down and weigh the pros and cons of each bridal and what services they provided. I feel in love with Chantique already :( After 2 days of intense discussion and budget wise, we decided to choose Chantique instead of the other 2 bridal company we went. WOOHOOOOOOOO! 

The second appointment with Abg Zul was just 3 days after we first met him, bukan ke ini yg dinamakan cinta pandang pertama? :) He explained to us on the package that we took and before I could step out of his office, I took a picture of one of the wedding gown and said, " This is my motivation to lose the extra baggage". I walked passed all the mannequin and pointed at each of them and said I'm going to wear you this this this and all of these. I think Sid was so embarrassed la, macam wedding ni 3 hari 3 malam la pulak nk pakai semua. Hehehehehehe.

How S meet A?

How do i get to know my fiancè you ask? Actually very simple one. Like cook maggie curry 2 minute like that! He he he. As simple as it may seem but actually the story is very very very grandmother grandfather nenek moyang story. In short, we met back then when we were in poly. Da k dabis.

ehhhhhh wait la belom habis. Hahaha,if my story will be that short i think no one will read this boring blog and might as well i pack my bag and balek kampong. Lol!

So here's the story of Siddiq meet Aliana.

My fiancè, Sid and I were both classmates in poly year 1 sem 1. You know la rp every semester change class, i was so heartbroken everytime the semester ends. Rasa mcm baru putus cinta gtu. lol! So sad u know u make friends alrdy so kamceng ho alrdy then go diff class. Cheated my feeling. But actually good also, i end up making more friends and everyone knows each other. Hahaha.

Anw, during the last day of orientation we got to meet our classmates for the first time ever and omg i was so shy at first. But to be honest, from the bottom of my heart the moment i step in my class i scan first if got any hot guys. Hehehehehehehehehehe, so got motivation to go to school mah..

 Muahahaha. But sadly to say when i came not many were there yet and i cant even recall if sid was there yet. Coz u know why?

I used to label sid as "Mystery guy".

On the first day of class, we were in the same group and there he was seating on the chair so relax one corner with his jacket, bermudas and cap. Mcm abg abg hip hop ah gtu. Deep deep inside my heart i said, " so weird sey this guy,wear cap until cannot see the eyes". Tsk tsk. I didn't notice him coz I dont even know he exist. This boy is so quite and in his own world  tell u. He dont really talk unless its about sch work. BUT so smart lor this boy, tk sangka i!

The first lesson we had was Maths class and we were fated like that coz we ended up in the same group. Back then in poly or shld i say rp, all of us uses MSN to share barang baik. Hehehe (worksheet la what else right. U all mind so dirty confirm think differently. Lol) Since the problem for the day was so diff and i managed to get my friend worksheets which were also difficult to explain i tot why not i send to this smarty pants here and maybe he could solve it. So evil right, mcm mak tiri sey peragai. So i asked him, " Sid u have msn or nt? " to which he replied " i dont have.". Ya allah ya tuhan ku mcm nk mengucap je kat situ i tell u. I dont know what i was thinking but this was what i said to him, " eh terok nye kau tkde msn. Kau tinggal dlm hutan ke ape". I know right so biadab mulut tkde insurance sey. I was alrdy expecting him to punch me in the face but he did not. He giggled and smile. Weirdoooooooo.

Few hours after that i saw him chatting on MSN and im like eh penipu besar sey ni budak kata tkde. Chis! I feel so cheated and burning inside already. I tapped on him shoulder to give him a piece of my mind. (Another drama and pragai mcm mak tiri part 2)  and again he replied politely and dont forget the smile and the giggle ," No.. actually i have but i did not sign in. " I was confuse or maybe he was confuse? He could have just say that yes he have msn but is not online. Simple right? Alamak si siddiq eh last warning ah.

My mak tiri (step mother) moment did not stop there. I apologised for being so kurang sopan and he was fine with it. Hehe. So i asked for his email and while i was typing down on my laptop, i got shocked when i type 85. I turned and looked at him. And guess this mak tiri said? " EH SID KAU 24 YEARS OLD ?!". And yup the next thing i knew the whole class came crowding around him. Hahahahaha,all thanks to me. Again he was not mad about it. So baik this boy. Hahaha. I think if other guys, I arwah already.

Slowly he open up and start making funny lame jokes and i can say that he is one very gentleman that i've ever met. Chey debahhhhh puji nampak. Hehe but honest la really. Even before we got together i was already jealous when he's nice to other girls. So kecewa and remuk hati i, seperti dilanggat lori sayur. Lol! Due to his nature personality of being funny and always making jokes i.......slowly............ like...him... :) you know u're in love when that person make jokes that is not funny but u are still laughing and when u enter the class and quickly take a glance if he was already there. Hehehe. I like zaman zaman jatuh cinta u know. Everything is sweeet like that.

So i start noticing him even more, talk to him alooooooot, msn with him, joke around and always soooo happy with he was around. Da mcm org gila bayang. Back in poly i'm closed with 4 other girls and we always set a colour theme for the day . And and and and one day abg siddiqku decided to join in also. Hehehehe. So all of us end up wearing green :) My fovourite colour sumore! Slowly he got close with us. Mind u, 4 girls and 1 guy later ppl think he lembut like sutun but he lelaki tulin la dont worry be happy.

I remember one conversation that we had that gave me a hint that this guy actually likes me(sumpah tk malu shiok sendiri) was when we were chatting about how many ex we had and bla bla bla. It goes something like this,

Me: "Actually my 1st bf was mix malay chinese then the second one is mix malay indian. Ala 2 ex only la i have."

Sid: "ohhhhhh then when u wanna have a malay malay bf?" With his cheeky smile.

Hehehehehe and my reply? Forever with my mak tiri mode said, 

"Waiting for u to ask to me be your girlfriend la".

 Hahahahahaha, so paisey but berani what right. Belom cuba belom tau.

We were constantly chatting with each other on msn about family school and whatever that was along the way. But... this boy here nvr ask for my number u know. Haix, so upset. But thank god for msn we can still chat, hehe bersyukur ape yg ade ye Aliana.

To be honest, I did not tell any of the girls that i have a crash crush on Sid coz I shy la. 

June 2009

We went to cathay cine to catch "Drag me to hell" together as a group (Sid was the only guy). When we entered the movie theatre i was hoping he will seat next to me. Hehehe and yesssssss he sat next to me. Ade chance la nak step terkejot then step terpegang tangan because we were watching some scary movie. Hahaha, so evil. All of us took a train back home and at that point of time i was still staying in Eunos so I was the only one who took a different train back. But........ little did i know he actually board the train that i took at the very last minute just to send me back. Say Awwwwwwwww. Hahahaha. When he reach Eunos he took 966 back to woodlands which was another 1hour bus ride . Haix... so sayang this man.. *insert pupy eyes*

Back then in 2009, we got hit by the H1N1 outbreak and rp had to close down. So we had e-learning instead. For the first time in my school life, i was upset that school close. Coz why? Cant see my eye candy laaaaa. So depressing. But.......... it was not that bad actually ;)

The girls planned on meeting up and do our e learning together at macd Ehub and we asked Sid along if he wanted to join. At the back of my head i said, who would wanna go to pasir ris at 830am in morning when u stay at woodlands. It like gg to jb is so much nearer. But he agreed on joining us! Tapi, deep down i know ala ni mamat semangat 2 minit je. Nanti mesti tk jadik. And he still have yet to ask for my number :(

You know, when we reach ehub my heart started to pound so bad and i was perspiring like mad. Ya allah da apesal dgn aku ni. Hahahaha, nervous for no reason.

But................. the moment we reach i saw someone..... someone so familiar.. hehehehe. You know who. At that point of time , i feel like running to him and hug him for coming down all the way from woodlands to pasir ris just to see me to study with us. Hehehehehe, so unexpected !

At this point im already losing my patience on "when he wanna ask for my number ni?". Ikr so gelojoh. So i thought, nevermind! Since he dont want ask for my number why not I asked for his number instead. Hahahahha. So yeah i asked for his number instead :) hehehehe, ye la aku kan gelojoh. 

We meet up again the following day at Ehub Macdonald (so much memories la this place, gonna take our pre wedding shoot there la. Lol!). Our "study" session turned out to be "study" each other family background instead. Hahahaha.

We were at the traffic light near pasir ris mrt when I decided to be berani and gelojoh yet again and said this, 

" Sid, I don't like our relationship left hanging ".

Both of us smiled and he held my hand. Say Awwwwwwww. So while we wer in the train he asked what was my favourite number and I said, 5. So weird right this boy ask me my favourite number, ape die nak beli TOTO ke? Lol.

Few days after that school reopen and he said, " Aliana, tmrw I send you back home ok". Of course la hati i ade fireworks, hehehe. But I was wondering why would he want to send back home? Again,so weird right but bersyukur dgn ape yg ade. On 15 July 2009, while we were in the bus 966 he took out his laptop and asked me to see a powerpoint presentation that he made specially for me. Deep inside my heart I though, " Eh die buat proposal ke ape sey ni. Die jual brg avon ke ape sia". Hahahahaha,

But..... 

Hehehehe, I said YES of course :)

15 July 2009 very memorable to me !

That was how we met, from friends to boyfriend and now fiance and in sha allah my husband by end of next year :)

Peti Solek- The Bridal Room

Had a terrible terrible flu with got accompanied with a cough and a 39.4 fever. Went to the clinic 30minutes before their oepning time thinking that i'm the most kiasu singaporean but masya allah ade yg lagi kiasu rupenye. There were like 9 ppl by the time i reach, i feel like rolling on the floor crying (no, i did not do not that lol). Anw! Since i'm on MC and just woke up from my nap, i shall squeeze sometime to update this blog of mine ! 

I totally totally forget about tell u guys who did my make up during my engagement on my previous post, tsk tsk. Old already u know? The story is, I did not want anyone to make up for me since i want a simple event might as well i just make up myself, throw a fake lashes, campak sane campak sini and tadaaaaaaaaa pretty alrdy. Hahahahaha. But my future mother in law was so excited already that her eldest son (yes, my fiance is the eldest in the family) is getting engage then why not make me extra nice on that special day right? So she sponsored me and there goes me being the hungry hunter looking for a perfect MUA. (Not muacks, not muahhh kiss kiss tau, it means make up artist. Hahaha)

Org da nak sponsor kan ape lagi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But i being the nice one decided to go for a not too expensive and make up over the top kalau kan nasi itik Evertop kat joochiat. So carik punye carik, I finally stumbled upon Peti Solek- The Bridal Room.

Peti solek is run by 2 sisters, Yaya and Yana and please believe me that their make up and baju kahwin kahwin is so cantek nak mamps. Yaya the MUA have cool hair styles too! Hehehe. I can't really rmbr but i think about 2 weeks or so before the event Yaya whatsapp me and ask for a close up picture. I immediately post for a pic and send her. Lol! On the actual day, the came on time and so so polite! i suka these 2 sisters!

So how? Cantek or not? So cantek and menawan hati i!!!!! Hehehe, I actually wanted to get them for my wedding but...................................... I saw this,

I was literally, "Haizzzzz" at the bus stop while I was on my way to work. You have no idea how upset I am, I feel like I was child asking my mum to buy me a chupa chups and she replied me with a big fat NO. Hahaha, so drama ! But it's ok, I managed to booked another bridal company which i think quite well known to others too. Hehehehe, that I will blog about some other free time!

So now, it's my turn!

That's Yaya, my MUA. She so friendly la omg!! I'm actually quite shy at first and was panicking inside. I don't know what should i talk to them about and bla bla bla. But I'm glad we can communicate pretty well! We talked about life, work and whatever that was along the line. Lol!

And one very funny convo we had.

Yaya: " So you think which one kakak and which one is adik"?
Me: *ALAMAK NI SOALAN PALING SUSAH DLM DUNIA. I DO NOT WANT TO HURT ANYONE'S FEELING COZ IM NOT GOOD IN PREDICTION* Errr......... You kakak? Yana adik?
Yana: Yay! Hahahaahhaha, you seee! *dancing mode on*
Me: " Alamak, salah eh? Hahahahaha, sorryyyyyyy"

Actually, Yana is the elder one. See i told u im not good in prediction. LOL! Malu tau i, mcm nk sembunyik je dlm sarong my mother.
Whatever it is, both of them look young and fresh and it was so hard for me to predict. And both of them is so so nice la. I repeat alrdy eh ni.

The fresh pink rose I bought cheap cheap one, $0.80/per stalk at this flower shop at Bedok interchange near NTUC!

They asked me what kind of hair style do i want and I showed them this particular hair style and they gave me just what i wanted :) Kudos ! 

After my hair was done, they said, " Eh da mcm cinnamon bun da you nye rambut". Hehehehehe, ehhhhh my favourite sey cinnamon bun, if only i can eat my hair. Lol!

Engagement, 13th April 2013

You see la when u da semangat to blog, you just cant stop.  

This post will be about my engagement back in April. I have always wanted a simple and private occasion for my engagement where i only invite my close relatives and close friends. Tapi angan2 tk tercapai, I TER invite TER lebih but everything well though. Hahaha, knowing that my house was pretty small, I was worried that they will not feel comfortable but boyyyyyy dorg buat mcm rumah sendiri sey. Good good :) 

The sad part was, 2 weeks before my engagement my dad passed away while he was asleep (28/03/2013). He just got discharge 2 days before he passed away and I know he was not in good condition. While he was in the hospital he kept saying, " I cant wait for your engagement ". But I know Allah SWT loves you more baba.. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad and frustrated coz I want him to be at the event :(

Omg, sidetrack rabak. This post suppose to be a happy not sad, pasrah and all. Hahaha. Ok ok, kita sambung.

I still remember, 1 day before the event I had to attend my company retreat at USS. Hati panas membara when my leave was not approve coz I got so many errand untuk larikan. Marah2 tapi org yg ker 11 untuk masok USS and pragai mcm budak masok Toy r us. Hahaha.

Anyway, Let's start on how my fiance, Sid and i decided on getting engage. Actually, after we graduated from poly and manage to secure a job we thought why not we got engage and tutup segala mulut makciks makciks. So, during my fiance was discussing with his parents when they should come to masok meminang and decided on 26th Oct 2012, Hari raya haji la sey. Org dtg beraya, die dtg masok meminang. Mana nak dapat? lol! So it's time for me to drop the ball to my parents.

So here goes the convo with my late dad,

Me: Ba, nanti raya haji sid nye family nak dtg tau masok minang. Ok tk?

Baba: Ok boleh, no problem. Talk to mak.

WOW. No problem? Steady la father. My late dad is known to be someone who chill chill bo lychee. So now, it's my mum's turn.

Me: Mak, baba da ckp sid nanti nk masok minang?

Mak: Sid nak masok minang? bila? tk ckp pon bapak kau ni. Abeh mak nk masak ape? brapa org dtg? nak kene ade gubahan tk adik?

Me: -____________________-

Now you see the different? My mum being my mum so kanchiong and always want to feed her guest until they turn into norbit. Hahahaha, but everything went well :)))) Alhamdullilah. One very funny story happened was that, while they were discussing and my mum kept on saying, " Eh mari la makan! " for i dont know how many million times till my fiance's dad said, " Eh ni nk masok minang ke nak g makan makan ni? " And all of them burst out laughing. I dont kow whether to laugh or cry. Lol!

The next phase was to choose the date. BUT no, we did not choose the date as in choose that special date. Story die panjang giler but to cut it short and sweet and simple Ola Lola (The 2 beautiful ladies tat did my gifttrays, bunga rampai and macaroon favours) was available on that date, so yeah 13th April it is.I almost menangis tk berlagu when they said they were mostly booked for the first quarter of 2013 but available on 13th april. Hehehehe. 

I bet all BTBs have known Ola Lola and if you are a BTB and have to yet to know that i'm telling u that you are missing good things in life bebey. They were fantastic, they did my gifttrays soo freaking pretty that i remember vividly on the night that i went to collect them at Arfah's place I was practically saying this to my fiance, " OMG b, look at that soo cantek like me." I knw right, mintak kene penampar.

I don't know whether is it me or just Virgos that are so freaking organised and want everything to be detailed. I can't remember how many times i send Ola Lola emailed regarding what are the stuff that i have already given to her, which is mine and which is his, which plastic bag etc etc. OCD ke ape?

See? Hahaha. Actually my niat is good lor, when she wanna start doing my trays it will b easier for her find the stuff what right? *pats back*

See, cantek nak mamps kan. I know it was a right choice to choose Ola Lola. They were friendly too and I cant't believe that i don't have to meet them to discuss on the design that i have in mind. I Just emailed them my choice of colours, which dulang and tadahhhhhhhhhhh.

Fiance theme colour: Silver and navy blue

Cantek hor? :) This pic was taken from Octavia IG. My fiance's gift trays were also from Ola Lola but he did not i repeat did not say his trays is as handsome as him. Hahahaha.

 The bunga rampai. To match with the colour theme i decided to just stick to the same colour so it blends in well. I was so upset that i did not take any pics of the macaroon favours that was also in the same colour theme :(  so sad and pasrah.

My fiance's gift trays. When we went to collect the 22 trays, I brought along my org kuat, Fiza and her friend Mazlan. I still remember my fiance said this to me, " PS3 i nak pegang org lain tk bole angkat. Kalau jatuh, nangis tk berlagu i". Hahahaahha, see pragai also this one.




I even did my own dessert table with the help of my org kuat of course :) Simple simple one! The macaroon was done by one of my good friend, Ain. So sedap, I had 3 of these.



I love blue sapphire, so i told my fiance that I would love to get my meminang ring and engagement ring matching2. So yeah, he granted my wish :) Thank you eh cik siddiq ku, I love you alot alot.
